peter gray corporation airstat humidifier

Hey all

Doing some spring basement cleaning and found these. Have been in plain view the 6 years I have lived in this house but never looked at them as thought is was some old vent plate--which since no hvac seemed strange but never thought much more. Going to toss them this AM, I noticed there were actually something else, a little searching shows Peter Gray corp was very diverse over the years. I could not find anything about these, but was the intent they sit on top of steam rads to add back humidity? Any idea on when produced, thinking maybe 1960s? I was going to toss them but maybe they would be interesting to somebody? Here is a link I found on PG plus some pics. First shows bottom, second is side stamp, last is looking down into the top with cover removed. Maybe add to my vintage (steam mostly) stuff in the corner, so much for cleaning out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks
