superstor problem

Hey,

I was hoping someone can help me out. I have a superstor ultra. I am frequently losing hot water. I replaced the zone valve motor, thinking that was the problem. It worked for a bit and the problem came back

The problems seems to come and go, but last night the water was like warm. The pipes coming in gets hot, but the pipe going up to the house does not. It seems that the heater does not recognize the house is calling for hot water.  I dont know if changing the tank control will help or what it is.

    it could...

be  the aquastast on the water heater is starting to gobad. Typically it is a Honewell 4080B...not the best one going. A honeywell 4006 would be a better choice. Next time it is wonky check to see if the zone is calling... if not you have the problem.
