Thank you in advance guys for taking the time out to help me. I was affected by hurricane Sandy and my contractor who is very handy told me he can get it going by replacing some parts.

Parts replaced:

ECU- the electric control unit

Circulator

Pressure switch

Ignitor

Gas valve

The two or three other parts are working fine and were tested with a voltage meter.

So when we turn on power this is what happens:

Thermostats call for heat

Blower and circulator turn on

Power light on

Purge light on

Limit light on

Stays like this for about 5 minutes and then the power light and pressure switch flash.

The ignitor never comes on

Please help!!!

What was the effect of Sandy? Was the boiler flooded?

Unfortunately, any boiler which has been submerged will have to be replaced. The electrical components, and gas train are immediately effected, and cannot be repaired, and the boiler sections may have been soaked with salty water, which will rapidly rot out the sections because of the chlorine. If this boiler has a more advanced design, with a stainless heat exchanger, then it too will start to rot.

Boilers and salt water don't get along.--NBC
