what were the complaints about, in regard to that boiler? a lot of people don't realise how important the installer is on a replacement, and so maybe the problems had more to do with that rather than the boiler itself.

many home owners also are surprised at the amount of time required for a yearly maintenance on all condensing boilers, and so complain about that expense.

why not post details of your situation, and everyone can voice an opinion as to what choice of boiler would be best for you.--nbc

if you do a search here, any postings having to do with that particular boiler will come up.

however, read between the lines as to whether the problem might have been "knucklehead-generated". the real pros will simply remark on ease of service, manufacturing defects, or difficulty with spare parts, etc.--nbc

It's like asking a Ford dealer what he thinks of GM. Of course, that supply house would recommend boilers they sell. Saying that a mod/con is sensitive to scale and sediment, is like saying a redheaded Irishman is sensitive to the sun.....No Kidding! The difference is that it is designed to resist that.
