I am wondering if anyone here has any installation experience with the ethernet-based(hard-wired) Heliodyne Delta T Control? I am installing one for the first time next week and am looking for any advice, experience or general feelings on the control prior to install.

Please Advise. and Thanks.

Pay attention to the network settings

Most of the problems we have are completely unrelated to the solar system. These included the controller needing to get re-set after power outages, trouble getting the client's router to see the controller or accept the controller's security settings especially if the router is old (WEP vs other security protocols...). Make sure you get their password and get in touch with the competent person who set up the network because what you are doing is adding a device to the client's computer network. This might not be your area of competence. At least get paid T+M for your learning time. Every time a client's internet goes down we get an email (not really useful...). These problems are worse with the wifi version. Please be clear that the energy production report is not what your deliver to the client, but what you deliver to the storage tank - not the same thing! If you can stomach the re-wiring you should try to get the controller out of the insulation jacket - or enlarge the vent holes - because they put it right on top of the very hot solar-side pump. SunReports is easier, and you can put the flow sensor in the right place yourself. Good luck, Jamie
