Heat loss question

What temperature difference are you using for a semi detached partition wall?
I use to use a 2 degree loss figuring the neighbors might keep their stat down a little but now a lot of the homes are empty and winterized. Opinions?

I wouldn't increase capacity based on that...
That is not a "normal" operating consideration. Besides, it has been my experience that even on jobs that I know for a fact were properly sized, when I show up at design condition, the system is doing a 50% duty cycle, which tells me it is two times bigger than need be.
MEIt's not so much a case of "You got what you paid for", as it is a matter of "You DIDN'T get what you DIDN'T pay for, and you're NOT going to get what you thought you were in the way of comfort". Borrowed from Heatboy.0
