Snake Oil Question

Options
the term snake oil salesman, but I just purchased another tool,, a General Speedrooter 91 to add to my MiniRooter & SuperVee drain cleaning tool list.
They(General), recommend using this "snake-oil" stuff to keep the cable lubed properly.
Is this a croc?, or do you guys use something different.

Dave

    We use....

snake oil on our machines. It is essential to cable life. Especially spring wire wound around a center cable core. Rust will sap the strength.

I believe snake oil is kind of a penetrating oil. In the absence of that product, any oil would be better than nothing.I like to let the machine sit in the sun awhile before oiling. Lets the moisture (and whatever else is in there) dry out.

Just be careful how much you add to the drum. Too much can be very messy! Learned that the hard way. Oops!

    Hey Ray!

I have an old 1 quart can of the stuff(smells terrible),, guess I should use-it.

Besides, who could argue with a guy that looks like this? ;-)

    Hey Ray,

I have a quart of the old snake oil stuff, guess I had better use-it.

Besides, who could argue with a guy that has this enthusiasm?

Edit- I have EVERY PIC sent-in(and so does Dan). ;-)
