Why do my thermocouples keep going bad
I have a Weil Mclain EG45. Since last Jan, I have had to replace the thermocouple 5 times. I've used 3 Honeywell's they only lasted about 1 month each, and 2 White & Rodgers, 1 which lasted again about a month, and the most recent one which lasted 7 months. The pilot flame is blue, not blasting the thermocouple, and the tip of the thermocouple(s)all have been slightly glowing.
The original thermocouple lasted 8 years. Why are these replacements only lasting a short time. What am I doing wrong.
